Do what I di-CLEAN IT UP!

    ...by that, I mean.

1.Remove desktop icons-the less the better-even with a large screen 22 icons is not good for preformance.

    2.Clean out un-needed programs

3.Reduce the amout of stuff on it (programs, pictures, music etc I put all my downloads into an extrenal drivr to converve pc space)

4.Use the "disc cleanup" feature>right click on your main drive>properties-clean out all it shows unless one of the folders you see has stuff you need.

5.Defragment your pc after deleting items.

And yes ventilation can be the cause-like my gamecube and my laptop-dust kills it...

The gamecube had so much dust it gave DRE's on mint games!

And the laptop is always on my bed...so it's eating dust.

So I suggest giving it a clean out if dusty (the inside) and or clean your drives-if you can back up your programs or downloads (music, roms, etc) into an external drive-200GB moved to a 1TB drive :)

well it's a new pc. it's only like 3 weeks old. build it from scratch, so there's unlikely to be covered in dust.

update your graphics driver, and make sure the PC is adequately ventilated.

i did update it. what i did is i click on the executable drive and the it installed and reboot but when it reboots, the screen is all weird and the pc said no drivers are installed. i have to install it again then it went ok and i check and confirm that the drivers are new and no the old one. is this right way of updating graphics drivers?

So whats the most possible solution of this problem ???

(Overheating, graphics set too high, sysytem unstable, software unstable, game corrupted, fault in game and so on.

are these the drivers you have: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_190.38_whql.html ? If not, try them, if so try the last of the 180 series.

What do you mean by 40% energy efficient?

    probably some marketing gimmick.

I guess the other 60%'s bad for the environment.

most likely it consumes 40% less energy than other gfx cards. most likely market gimmickery as well.

is it the first system you build? it might have something to do with that, although i find it unlikely.

seeing as it is new, it's improbable it needs maintenance. probably you don't have the required specs. what game are you trying to play?

yeah the 190_38 is the drivers i have now. think jin_kazama is right about the graphic card consuming less power since i doesn't require another power supply. yeah it's the first system i build. so what is the most likely problem, i'm gonna go crazy soon. is it have something to do with the intel ICH10R LPC controller drivers not installed cos it comes as a question mark in device manager. is it overhesting, but when i tried it without the case, it still does the same thing. games i tried so far is fifa 07 and ghost recon 2. both freezes while i'm like a few minutes into it.

what brand and wattage is your power supply?

the psu came with case which is coolermaster. when i bought it the guys told me 460W but when i look at psu it says max 312W.

I would say its too low then. you need 400W bare minimum these days, 500W is better.
