patching

    hey!! can someone tell me what are the steps for patching a game?? coz i don't have any idea how to do it?? help needed!! thanks--(^-^)

    Depends on the game and type of patch.

    What games are you looking to patch, and what reasons are you trying to patch them for? (Translations?)

    Once you download the translation patch, there should be readme, with a executable file etc. Easy, follow the readme.

    TirithRR is right in saying that there are several ways of applying patches to games, & most of them are quite easy to do as anand also said. Sometimes it's just a matter of opening your patching tool, telling it which game to patch & what patch file you need to apply to your game.

    Here is an example of applying an IPS patch file to a Japanese ROM to translate it into English using a tool called LunarIPS:
