Paper mario (Nintendo 64) crashing

Hey all,
I'm having a problem with paper mario (that I downloaded from here! :-X). For those of you who have played it before, it's the bit where you Princess peach gives Twink the lucky star to give to mario. This is also the bit after Mario talks to the seven stars, and the bit before Mario fights Kamek (that witch-koopa thing that flies on her broomstick, squashes goompa's gate with a giant block at the start).

basically what happens is this; twink flies out the window, and peach walks out the window onto the balcony. She says "Mario, where are you?" and the screen fades into white...
Then, Bam! error message pops up.

I'm having a problem with it freezing up when I gain a level. I cant get past the King Goomba. I'm new to the emulation thing, I've tried Project 64 and Nineteen64. Both have the same problem. I'm so darn flustered..... ??? Someone help meh!

I had the same problem with the first guy... but i managed to fix it!
What i did is... well i redownloaded the ROM and i changed the language on PJ64 to japanese, and i... hang on let me remeber... oh yeah! finally what i did is i went into the "Settings" of PJ64 and went to Shell Integrations and clicked all the boxes... and it worked!

 

Oh well, to explain more in detail, the american version of Paper Mario does not work on emulators at the part where Peach says bye to Twink the Star now it may work with th change in settings but do not bother redownloading or trying out different emulators at least not until Project 64 makes a release and says it is officially playable. Sorry!
