Hi, So to start off, I (as a kid) Had a game boy color that was teal, and I miss it dearly. I went on ebay and bought a lime-green one, A few friends had them as kids and I hated the color, but this one was in good shape, and for 19 bucks, how could I go wrong?

I want to paint it a different color, but i'm not a total n00b so at least consider helping : D
I understand basically how to take it apart, but not in fine detail, as I haven't done it yet, because it hasn't even shipped to me yet xD
I understand that I need to sand / prime / paint / clear coat it
What I need is suggestions to paint brands or combinations or even a tutorial on painting the thing that would work well for what I am hoping to achieve. (something that doesn't look awful and has a texture similar if not exactly like the original GBC texture)

If you aren't one to be an experienced painter, Maybe you could photoshop some pictures of a gbc to make it into whatever colors you dream, or whatever colors you think would look cool on a game boy color. Or, you could even just post on this thread of what you think it should look like, but pictures are always cool to look at.

P.S. Sorry for the disorganized post ::)

Thanks for the links, markswan. I've seen the youtube videos, but he says that he "May have skipped some parts" or "edited some parts out"... or something along those lines, so I stopped watching, as I don't wanna miss steps.

The frankli blogs, I haven't seen, although i've seen lots of cool stuff on hackaday, including a backlight mod or two that I might wanna try.

Omg that one looks so cool! I was thinking maybe a metallic dark silver, like this > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ia7r8foj8sc
I was also thinking of spraying the A and B buttons red, to go along with my NES if I decide to make it gray.

Or maybe something like a metallic aluminum color. (Which is what I thought the link markswan sent me was, because it appeared that there was a.... shadow? or something like that, I can't quite explain xD) look at the first picture of the GBC on that link to see what I mean.

    Or Possibly even.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erd8Cq6UGYI
