What is paging file size? Does it speeds up your computer? Many a thanks.

the paging file is an area of hard disk used instead of RAM. (in theory only when all your physical ram is in use, but windows can't manage it properly). It is much slower than physical RAM so your computer will become considerably slower and more sluggish when using the page file.

I've always heard you should keep your paging file size set to two times your physical RAM size. Is that true?

its generally a good rule of thumb. Also statically setting it (i.e manually setting the max and min sizes the same), will be faster than leaving it under windows control.
