Recently, I found myself needing to upgrade from the original's 1.18 firmware, and I came upon the Wood series. I formatted my card, installed wood, and attempted to play a game from my "games" folder in the root. I got double white screens, with no game start-up. This happens with all ROMS I play. What's the problem? It may help to note that the ROMs I used were all pulled out of the backup folder I made before I formatted the microSD card. It may also help to note that the DS is a first generation DS.
As said above, that is not an original R4, so wood is probably not compatible with it (or that version of wood isnt, theres a version for clones that might be).
