On the Fence for Halo: ODST?

Still thinking about whether you should get Halo: ODST? Here are some things to consider:

    - Campaign mode is short, clocking in at around 5 hours long on Normal with 9 missions.

    - New Firefight multiplayer is extremely addicting, with fun co-operative combat

    - Firefight does not include online matchmaking

    - Full-ish price tag of $40

    - It's Halo gameplay, without recharging health, for a more realistic game experience.

    - MOAR MAPS! OMG

I personally am getting this. What about fellow RomU members?

Meh. Uncharted 2 still seems better to me.

I got it. Beat it. Loved it!
It's a pretty fun game; the gameplay is short however it is actually much better than Halo 3's with the health system, it makes you use more tactics. It's pretty easy to complete and get the achievements though; would be cool to have add-ons for additional game modes

$40 price tag sounds good to me.

It'll do nicely untill Modern Warfare 2 is out...

Got it. I really enjoyed roaming around with a few buddies, but I hate the dreadful health system. It requires too much cowarding and scavenging for health stations when you're low on health. But Firefight is amazing, and the game also comes with all the maps plus more, so I think it's well worth it.

Scratch my previous post. I beat the game on Legendary. The health system makes no difference at all. You still have a cleverly disguised shield system called "Stamina", which can be regained, and you can still flip vehicles, and wield big guns. The only difference is that the cleverly disguised Master Chief squad can suffer fall damage, can't dual-wield, are shorter, and have less jumping power. Oh, and they have visor vision. o_O

But really, I think it's still a fun game, it's just if you look into it, there isn't much uniqueness to it compared to Halo 3, other than silenced weapons, the new modes, and the open-world style of play. Also, the game litters health packs everywhere that you might be conveniently low on health, so you never actually feel endangered.

I'm currently playing this on Heroic and am absolutely loving it. I must admit though, it is quite challenging and is a bit different from the previous games since it takes a lot more skill and tactics, Definitely a great buy with all the map-packs and you can get Halo: Reach Beta from it when Bungie releases it.

Every Halo fan should really be excited to get this since it may be Bungie's second last game they make before handing Halo over to Microsoft and something else i forgot.

Reach will be ace if you know the Halo story; plenty of spartans.

And to you complaining about the health system, shush, the point is that you aren't invincible and you need to use tactics, that's one of the things that makes it so good, though yes falling is really annoying.

ODST is a GREAT GAME! I love the pistol and going hand to hand with Brutes.
Whenever a Hunter appears my friends know to stand back because I love going 1v1 with them.
Damn fall damage though... Health system took some getting used to. But the visor is a great addition.
Oooooh yeah. I'm gonna go fight some Hunters right now.

Hunters are easy if you have access to plasma pistols, plasma grenades and an explosive type weapon such as the bruteshot.
