my profile tells me I downloaded two games today. Now, I have no home internet connection, so I can't have been online until I logged on to the library computer today. I now have 49 points. Has someone broken into my account?
Never share your password with anyone, and make sure the same password isn't used in more than one site/place or else your in trouble. I'd advise changing it now, something difficult to crack and has no bearing on your life, like this... Dis64deathmucn69 That was one from long ago, did the job
Re: Okay, maybe I\'m stupid but... This is what I get for referncing fallout with my password.... Alright time to try again. I don't suppose I could get reimbursed on those pointys? I'm not sure on the ammount but I had at least a hundred more than this current total. Post Merge: [time]1267287086[/time] In retrospect those points are gone >.> For all the mods know I could just be perptrating a lie.
Well they'd find out soon enough, they have their ways... They might fix those points up if it turns out your correct... (and it'll be the admins doing the fixing-all the mods can do is check who what when and why XD)
Hrmm >.> On some sites the Admins and mods are one and the Same, well whatever.... seeings as how I'm not so good with numbers I just used a long nonsensical phrase like theregoesthemaninthebluehat as my password. Should be pretty fullproof, and more importantly I can remember it.
As long as that isn't the password XD It should be good, though a number you can remember does help... Just don't use 64 or 69, or birth years, too common to find those XD
yuppers, I usually just cram a number in the middle when I absolutely have to. Its usually one that has meaning.
All downloads originate from same connection, the only difference is in the last number. x.y.z.xxx <- this. The only weird thing is that two downloads are logged at exactly the same second with two different ips, which suggests multiple machines were logged in and downloading. Maybe you forgot to log out from the library?
possibly, but the library automatically kills any browser window when my login minutes are used up, so someone logged onto romulation and abused my account from the library?
Well, depends on whether the library saves the cookie or not. If the cookie is deleted then no, if it wasn't then it's possible.
hrmm, the computers are "flushed" at the end of the day, but then and there? No it appears someone used my account after I left. hrmm. No idea what to think now.
In future, make sure you use the logout function and it should be okay. If you don't tick the "remember me" button the it should be okay as well.
