most of the roms i download from this have more than 1 file in them and all of the files apear to be full copys of the games however the extras have things like [b1], [b2] [f1] and [t2] at the end of the filename. and as far as i can tell they are the same thing but if that were the case why isn't there only 1 file in the rar instead of the 3+ i usually get. can someone please explain this to me

I don't really understand what you are saying. Old games include Rom hacks and others. The [!] one is the clean rom.
so they are hacked versions of the game then? and if that is the case how do i find out what the hack is?
