ok, i haven't found a straight answer to this question, ok here it goes: can you replace information from a retail cart with a different game, would this work or would the retail card throw it out and not work anymore, since i want to test a theory ^__^ cant say what but i want to see if it can be done first
Roms are called roms because ROM stands for "read-only memory". This means that you cannot write to (ie change) what data is stored on the chip.
ahh, what but about the rom update piece in the wifi backup tool? what specifically does that do, hmmm??
I'm not sure but it definitely doesn't replace the game. At best you can copy (converted) flashcart save files to retail carts.
hmm, going to update one of my carts with my patched info for the game and see if it works, since i have access to it Post Merge: [time]1285221761[/time] tried but probably just killed my card XD
