    ok, i recently fixed a friend's old DS phat system cause the touch screen was acting like someone was constantly pushing up on it

    so, i would like to know, what exactly would cause this problem on a motherboard, cause that is what i had to replace in order for it to work right again

    * i know, i already fixed it, i want to know what to look for on the motherboard, in cause the other one starts doing it*

    Hmm, I don't know. I've only ever worked with DSi's and DsLites, all of which had screen problems.(3 were with touch, one with top) All of them required a new screen.(the right one for the problem of course) I never had to purchase a new motherboard.

    There is on instance where I did have to buy a new motherboard though. But that was because I was taking three broken DS's and making them into one whole DS(I needed a new board because all of the three DS's had broken cables that branched off the motherboard)

    So I guess you could of just got a bad cable and that is why.

    im surprised, I would have expected this to be a fault with the touch screen.

    well, if it was a cable then the touch screen would do it again even if you switch the motherboards, wouldn't it?

    @loony:
    i thought it was a touch screen issue also, i have replaced the touch screen and it worked for awhile but it finally did it again, so that is when i decided to switch motherboards

    The only way I could find cables is if I got a new board, but since one of the old board worked. I assumed it was simply the cables.
