Does anyone know which one is better for gaming? Nvidia released them around the same time, and both cards are really tempting.

What i plan to do in the near future:
    Nvidia 790i SLI Motherboard
Best available Nvidia GFX card x2 ( i have heard that you cannot stick 3 of these on the new motherboard.).
    8 gigs of ram
    Quad Core Extreme Processor.

What do you guys as fellow gamers recommend?

    Either or.
A friend of mine just recently made his pc, which has 4GB DDR3 RAM, and he has a 8800 1GB
Along with a Quad core processor. Not sure about his motherboard or chipset, but his PC is damn good. He runs Team Fortress 2 at full settings and gets 250 fps.

The GTX 280 generally seems to be a better performer. Also, you can put 3 of these in a system if the motherboard supports triSLI (or whatever they're calling it), although the scaling for 3 video cards isn't generally worth it yet.
