okay so i have been lurking around forums for about 2 hours trying to figure out why i cannot extract .iso's from some of the .7z files i dowloaded from this site like Final Fantasy VIII Disc 1 of 4 [SLUS-00892].7z error says it is not supported archive and another game Allied General [SLUS-00303].rar when i extracted this one it made it to 15% and told me the file was broken. do i need to redowload it? and what do i do about the archive support situation?
Yes, you need to re-download the file. I suggest using a download manager such as JDownloader, DownThemAll for Firefox, or FlashGet.
If you haven't already I would recommend you download 7-Zip and use it for extracting the files instead. Google Chrome has a built in download manager if you don't want to mess around with plugins for Firefox (or if you're using a different browser).
i do have 7 zip which i why i thought it was weird it wouldnt extract the files. i'm going to try a manager now though thanks!
