So I'm tryna download this game: https://www.romulation.org/GameCube/Def_Jam_Fight_For_NY_(U)(OneUp).rar.html/

I've tried downloading it like, 5 times and my internet connection downloaded a third of the whole thing and sometimes only 25MB then now, I can't even download it because I don't have enough points

    HOW ANNOYING IS THAT?!?!?!?!

What can I do except buying more points

P.S. I don't know if this belongs in the Technical Help forum so move it if you want

    Lol I just remembered that

And the thing is, how can I resume a file download then? E.g. I download 323MB of it. But I stopped and want to resume it later.
    Is that possible?

you can redownload without it costing points for 24 hours from the time of the initial download. We suggest you use a download manager.

    you're wrong.

You need to have started it using a download manager. You cannot resume otherwise

Well, yes, unless there's been some sort of problem with your computer or if you lack an actual download manager. Firefox comes with an easy to use one that let's you resume anytime.

    Example of a download manager?

Will Firefox still resume the download when i open FF after shutting the computer down

I honestly don't know.....And like loonylion said, you need to have started the download with Firefox.
And either way, you'll still have to pay the full points to download the file.

firefox download manager does not support resuming, you need one such as internet download manager (idm).

So I've wasted 2000 points on tryna download something that stops downloading at times? kmt

What would the URL be when I download the rar file? Is it the address from 'north american server etc.'

As a side-question: Does Opera count as a download manager?

If I'm correct the link will be blocked if we post it here.
Also I don't think Loony & Seph will like it, if we did.

romulation law indicates that you will be banned if you do so

So angry that 2000 points were lost by something that I couldn't fully download.

Maybe there should be something to say that the file has been downloaded and points can be taken off after it has been fully downloaded.

Oh well, it's my fault for not being aware

There is no technical way of doing this.

there is no way for romulation to detect if a download is finished? why not put a line that whidraws the points after the download is finished?

This would be quite bothersome to do. And it could potentially allow for people to get free points by various means.

and there alwas ways to avoid this, limiting to one download per server and adding that a download can only be made each 5 minutes after a download
