Nostalgia Help eterna mines

I'm in the process of getting the second tablet so yang gui opens the secret door to the mines and i head north and take the first mine cart to the second one.... and the second cart leads to a track that doesn't end but there's a switch to change the direction of the tracks... how do i get to that switch? i can't walk on the tracks

any help is appreciated thx

 

When you head down the tracks on the minecart, turn facing the switch and press a, you have to be fast.

 

or you can just spam A until it changes if you dont have have timing

 

There are some goodies hidden in the Mines. Try to check out all tracks with the minecarts before you leave.
