Noob question, but how do I update the firmware on my r4i SDHC

    I want to play Heart Gold but I need to update to 2.7 but I don't know how to do it.

    download your update and extract all the files in it and put them in the root directory of your sd card.

    I tried that and it gets stuck on the loading screen saying please upgrade the hardware for support latest firmware

    Try updating your firmware or else try using the patched/translated J rom.

    sorry its updating my firmware that i am having problems with. It just gets stuck on the loading screen.... what have i done wrong??

    Back up everything to your computer.
    Reformat it and put the latest firmware on along with all of your files.

    are you sure your downloading the correct firmware? look on the box for the cards firmware that you have and then download for your card, because there are many r4i sdhc, so check it is your card version firmware
