Ever since i tried running KOTOR II on this new computer, windows aero will just not load!

    Anyone have a fix?

Mine did it too with KOTOR II, I rolled my driver back because to play it I had to update my driver. Funny thing is, it still plays.

Hmmm... well, i did a system restore to fix it.. Now i'm going to test oblivion once it installs, and hope it doesn't ALSO cancel out windows aero >.>

KOTOR II is the only game that has done that to my pc, now when I reinstall the latest driver I lose aero even without KOTOR II installed. Weird, I will just leave the old driver in.

But then again, the windows taskbar/title bars are ugly as hell without it :p

Quoted for truth. It's resource hungry. Special effects are not needed at all.

I like the Windows 7 taskbar without it. With Aero I think it's too transparent.

KOTOR II seems to be the issue. If it's played in an emulator, the game could crash the emulator & the emulator could crash Windows Aero.

Good thing of Ubuntu is that Ubuntu Beryl almost never crashes :D
