Sorry for making another topic about Xenogears, but I couldn't find what I was looking for. I have the latest version of the epsx(?), and for plugins I have Pete's Open GL2 Driver 2.9 for video, and for sound I have Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41. However, whenever I try running Xenogears (the mds file), there's no sound at all. I'm running the iso since I don't have any CDs to burn it on and, quite frankly, don't really know how. Also, I tried running the mdf file, but I only ever get a blank screen. Can anyone help me figure out how to make it so that the game will have sound? Or has anyone solved a similar problem?

Which version of ePSXe was it?
Redownload the plugins again and then put it into the same folder.

Try using ePSXe SPU core 1.7.0.
make sure to enable the sound.(in case you accidentally disable it)

Does that problem only happen in this game?

I'm assuming that he is using ePSXe 1.7.0, since that is the only version that is capable of loading MDF/MDS files directly using the Run ISO feature.

It's odd though, cause I have played Xenogears on ePSXe 1.7.0 with Pete's OpenGL2 and both Eternal 1.41 and ePSXe core 1.7.0 sound plugins and the sound has worked.

Ya, Xenogears also runs well on 1.6.0 version.
