Hello, This website claims that until Christmas, no points are required to download ROMS. However, when I tried downloading a ROM (Animal Crossing: City Folk), I was informed that I had an "insufficient point count." This leads me to believe that points are still required. Just a guess but you might still need the required amount of points for your download, but the download doesn't subtract from your points.
Yeah, this may be it. I don't even know how many points the ROM costs, though, because all that's there is "Christmas Free!" I just tried again, and the same red box popped up that said,"You don't have enough points to download this file. Upgrade to premium below for unlimited downloading!" and I was met with advertisements for a premium account.
look at the filesize. 1MB = 1 point. I dont know if what you're seeing is intended behaviour or not, Seph would have to answer that.
Oh, ok. Thank you. By that logic, I am 136.7 points shy of affording the game (given that new members receive 500 points upon registration). I suppose this is likely the issue, as President Devon suggested above.
