    OK,

    1. The very first time I ran the software, I plugged in my USB connector when it told me to and the install progressed until about halfway. It sat there, stuck, saying "Installing Drivers" for 30 minutes. I gave up on it and exited the install.

    2. Running the software the second time, plugging the connector in when prompted, and it gets about 3/4s of the way through when suddenly it errors out and tells me "Please plug the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connector into a USB port". Of course, it is already plugged in since it told me to earlier in the install.

tried a completely different port (i.e not one next to the ones that don't work). USB ports are grouped into 'hubs', with each hub driving two ports. If the 'hub' dies then you lose both ports on that hub.

then it is most likely that you have a faulty adaptor. I suggest you return it and get a replacement.

If your talking about The Nintendo Wifi Adapter. To install you must have Windows XP. Right now as I see on picture, you have Windows 2000? Or you currently setted your XP computer to that style. But anyways you will need a Windows XP computer for the Adapter.

Windows 2000 does not have internet connection sharing, (ICS is more trouble than its worth anyway). just use a wireless router.

    I use WinXP

Can i ask that someone does me a huge favour,

if they have it, go to your program file folder and Zip/rar the files

The drivers install fine its just the program that doesn't.

that is likely not to work as there is more to a program install than just copying files.

You paid $50 for it?! There is a thing called WifiMAX that's supposed to work better. It's $30. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/103-3504985-1176669?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=wifi+usb+connector.

Or just get a wireless router. Before getting one though, check if they have tested it here. http://www.nintendowifi.com.au/customersupport/supportedRouters.do If it's not there, it may still work, they just haven't tested it yet.

I guess, i don't really use the USB adaptor, too much of a hassle to find it, I prefer a router, it's 24/7 :) anyways, don't double post...keep it in one post, and make sure that your firewalls are turned off...
