Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection disable DS?

I've heard that if you use a flashcard, DSTT for example and then connect to the Nintendo Wi-Fi that it'll disable your DS.
Now I don't believe this, but I don't really want to take the chance..
Has anyone used their DS and flashcard over Nintendo Wi-Fi without problems?
I'd like to get the Shiny Pichu that's on now, but I'm loath to try it in case..
Can someone set me straight, cheers.

 

Fake rumor as far as I know. I've done countless events over Wi-Fi (ie. the Pichu event you mentioned)

May I ask which Flashcart you have.

 

I never had any problem connecting to the internet (Wi-Fi) with either my R4i SDHC as my R4 SDHC.

It is fake, just connect, it is an build-in function. It can not harm your DS.
