So I bought a Wifi max POS and it doesn't work on windows 7 OR on VMware XP like many people will try to tell me. I've been through 3 different USB adapters. I need something that I KNOW will work natively on Windows 7. Anyone have any suggestions?

Just needs to be an AP that's all.

    inb4 people say get router.

Have one, encrypted WPA2, not changing it, get over it, moar suggestions.

    Thanks,

See I've seen that. but I'm skeptical due to reviews. Any other suggestions?

All of them get crappy reviews because they are all poor products. Your best solution is your wireless router. Regardless of how much you don't want to change it.

In your words, "Get over it".

basically either change your encryption settings or do without.

I can respect that. (damn you used my words against me)

Alright so next question. I DID buy a secondary router a few months back and attempted to piggy back it on my WPA2 encrypted router, but I could never really get it to work out.

Any guides/expertise on that? I could either connect to the piggybacked one, or to the WPA2 one, but I could never get both to broadcast.

they need to be on different channels (1, 6 or 11, any others overlap). Disable the DHCP server on the secondary one and plug one of the numbered switch ports into one of the numbered ports on your main router (this may require a crossover cable). Do NOT use the WAN port on the secondary router.
