So did you guys hear about the one where the Wii gets a 4.2 update?
Anybody hear about how it'll affect some applications related to the HBC?

It'll take off the homebrew channel.

Ahh, but will it allow the channel come back?

    ...No.

Unless someone finds an exploit, that won't happen right away.

So, once installed whiile having the 4.0, having the 4.2 will make it go away and make it stay away, right?

Yes, don't update, it seems like the only think it does is lock out homebrew, you don't need the update.

Most Wii updates are this way. Like when 4.0 came out and fixed exploits, they had to find a new exploit to install HBC.

    They just found an exploit.

You can update to 4.2 if you like, although updating the Wii does almost nothing other than try to lock out homebrew.
