New To R3 and ROM

    Hello All,
    I'm new to this R4DS and ROM. My newphew just told me to get R4 for my sons DS.
    I followed the instructions from the Tutorials.
    The files that I see in the Trading Sections have extensions RAR. The tutorial said that I need an NDS extension. Where can I get this?
    There is some site with homebrew and other that I was able to download some NDS extension but I dont know the controls. Is there something I need to do to get the controls?

    .rar is a form of compression similar to .zip. You need to download winrar from www.rarlabs.com and install it. Then you will be able to extract the .nds files from inside the .rar. Be aware that most of the roms on our forum are double compressed, that is extracting the rar produces a folder with more .rar files in. Extracting one of them will give you the .nds file.

    Great thanks. I did see the doubles. I was wondering if the files are different.
    Do I need to download any controls? or the normal controls work?
