New To NDS. Can't Get NDSL To Recognize r4 card?

Im completely new to this. I bought an r4ds bundle from realhotstuff.com and a used NDSL from ebay. I can't seem to get my NDS to read the r4. I have an r4 revolution for ds (ndsl/nds) and it came with asan disk 2 gb micro sd card. Im pretty sure I followed a tutorial right on how to set up the r4 but its not working. Any help? Im so confused. :/

I plug the sd card into the r4 and plug it into the dsl and it doesnt read it. This is so frustrating.

I put v1.18 kernal on there. I dont know what Im doing wrong.

 

show me the box of youre r4?and are u sure u put the correct firmware on it?does it say r4 sdhc?

This is the one that I bought. It came in a blister pack with the sd card and little stick thingy.

The card looks the same and the cover on the package looks exactly like the one on the r4ds.com site.

And not Im not sure about the firmware. I thought I was but then I kept seeing Ysmenu stuff and different versions and Im so lost now.

now there are loads of "fake" r4 flash carts!!u can try and download from any r4 site, u find on google diferent r4 sites and firmwares

oh i forgot!!!do youre microsd says sdhc on it?

 

Sorry that last post sort of confused me. Am I to search google for r4 sites and firmwares?

So lost. I've been trying to get this to work for houurrrssss.

Ermm...its a sandisk 2gb micro sd.

 

the original r4 card wich is yours,is not compatible with microsd sdhc

 

I dont have anything that says micro sdhc though?

There is not sdhc.

maybe the micro sd is broken,or you have been unlucky and youve been tricked ,and bought a non working r4 card

have u tried formating the micro sd and put the firmeware again?

you put the system folder on the root of the micro sd together with the moonshell folder and DS_MENU.DAT and_DS_MSHL.NDS

Yes I put them all on the sd card. All 4 files.

 

first you put it in the adapter and connect it to the computer

Next you go to my computer and right click on the sd card and click format
