New themes won't display correctly on Wood R4 ver. 1.26

I just got it to work just about 20 minutes ago, and everything's fine 'cept for some new themes I got for it. The compatible theme for Wood are the Acekard 2 themes (or am I wrong?). Well, in any case, for any new themes I apply the calendar and time don't display correctly at all. All I get on the top screen is the background graphic and some Japanese characters near the lower-left corner.

Anybody else having the same issue as I? If so, anybody got any fixes for it? Thanks in advance for any assistance provided!
