MP3 player is a very generic term these days for most any music player that isn't an iPod. Anyways, I was looking at that on Amazon awhile back. I'm not entirely sure what it may be capable of.

Why don't they call it an mp4 player then --'

Because .mp4 is the video codec. I suppose that is why.

    .mp4 is a video codec.
    It is 'MPEG 4'

But who uses MP3 nowadays. Smartphones are way better!

Actually, no they aren't. I'd far rather use a separate MP3 player than waste my phone's battery playing music. That and the audio quality that comes out of a smartphone is fairly terrible.

It depends on the phone and your personal opinion. The sound is pretty okay with my cellphone

as a deaf person I need very good quality, because my ears are unable to filter out noise.

Is there at least Youtube video converter so you can watch saved Youtube videos on the new Samsung Galaxy 4.0 player & can you rip DVD movies to the player too?
