new R4i bricked DSi

    hi can anyone help i have recently got a new R4i card and it has bricked my dsi. whatever i try to do i get the message 'error message press down and hold the power button to turn off and refer to the user manual'. this happens with and without a game in the slot, all the other functions dont work either.

    I took it into a local shop and they said it would be £90 to repair as it is bricked.

    would really appreciate some help/information

    Is it still under warranty? (How long ago did you buy it?) If it is, Nintendo would repair it and probably not cost as much as some local shop.

    What R4i did you got? (website, etc)

    i got r4i-sdhc upgrade (red box) from r4i.co.uk. i have had other r4 cards from them and they have all been fine.

    and typically its warranty has just expired !!!!!!
