new ps3????

there is word that a new ps3 is coming out. does any one have any info. to this so we can either criticize it to death or embrace it with joy.

its probebly a slim version of the ps3 just like you had with the ps2?

 

Well, the 80GB version is confirmed for a Korean release, if I remember correctly. Hopefully, if/when the time comes for a "new" PS3 in the US, they won't rip out the Emotion Engine (poor Europeans ).

Make the price similar to 360, get more games and I'll buy one.

there is actually a new possible ps3 to be released. i read it somewhere in ign. i believe it's to compete with xbox360. it's more likely that they will ditch certain features, maybe like the built-in wifi, and more probable is the compatability of the ps2 on the ps3.

 

maybe a bigger hd but i wouldn't expect any changes to the actual system yet.

 

Maybe they would fix the heating problem as it heats up pretty fast

a 40gb hard drive, no ps2 compatability and a reduction in some parts like the number of usb ports.

it's weird because first they went with a higher hard drive and killed the lower hard drive, then they went to a lower hard drive again. the other funny thing is that sony specifically said that having two types of consoles for support is a costly decision, yet here they are offering a toned down ps3 and having two types of consoles.

 

If there making a slim one already then thats just SAD.
