New Game Profile Created Every Time I Start Touch Golf

Hi, I'm having an issue with a Touch Golf ROM. Every time I start the game, it has me create a gamesave file and loses the one I had before, as though I were playing for the first time. I've played many games via ROM and have never had this issue before. Any ideas what I can do?

 

Nothing most likely unless there's a patch or just wait for your firmware to be upgraded.
Are you using the latest? What card do you have?

Hi, thanks for the quick reply! I'm using Edge DS on a DS Lite. I don't know what firmware version I'm using but I know I haven't upgraded it in a long time.

Do you think it's a corruption of the ROM file?

 

No, it's just most likely Anti-Piracy.

I went ahead and updated the firmware but the problem persists. I'm surprised such an old game would still have this problem if it's an anti-piracy trick.

With no other ideas, I went ahead and found a different ROM. It works like normal.
