It's true! The maker of Hotel Dusk: Room 215, known as Developer Cing, is creating a new game named Again to be released for the Nintendo DS platform next year! Taken from Game.co.uk: Developer Cing, the creator of the DS mystery title Hotel Dusk: Room 215, is to release a new title named Again for the handheld next year. Promising to be another perplexing, exciting mystery, Again sees players take the role of FBI agent Jonathan Weaver as he looks to find the truth behind a series of murders, which are eerily reminiscent similar killings 19 years earlier. The title will take advantage of the same vertical screen position used by Hotel Dusk, with the two screens showing the past and the present, challenging players to collect clues from both time periods. Would-be detectives will look to solve a series of brainteasing conundrums as they crack not one, but two cases simultaneously. Publisher Tecmo Koei said: "Featuring a captivating story full of suspense, unexpected surprises and unique visual presentation, Cing's latest creation takes the text-adventure genre to a whole new level." Hotel Dusk: Room 215 was well-received by critics on its release in 2007, with reviewers praising it for its mature storytelling and unique style. Sounds amazing, yes!? Yes it is. * Issue: 53 of "Nintendo: THE OFFICIAL MAGAZINE" (a UK magazine which i have in front of me right now) dedicated 2 pages to it and says at the end of it's summary of the game and the foundations of it's story and features: "The game is now out in Japan, but a European release hasn't even been whispered about yet". Given that it's a relatively recent game with a reportedly complex script; it will probably be several more months at least before it's translated into other languages and released in the west (that's assuming that it will be released, it's likely though; given that the dev has already released the previous one in the west). *Read my next post
[me=tehuber1337]sighs[/me] Firstly, this is very old news. Again was released in the States last week IIRC. Secondly, Again and Last Window are not the same game. The latter is a sequel to Hotel Dusk, whereas the former is a standalone game.
I FAILed to read the initial post properly and assumed this thread to be about the Hotel Dusk sequel Whatever, if you're interested in Hotel Dusk then my previous post isn't useless. But no, the game in the picture isn't the same game; it's the sequel to Hotel Dusk and not the game this thread was created to discuss. *markswan feels a little daft at being corrected by tehuber1337 again and not reading initial thread post properly*
Cool Will look into getting the sequel. So is Again already out? (I'm in England so don't know much about the states' gaming stuff)
