Okay I've been using the new curve forum layout for a little while now, and I've been experiencing sometimes that when I try to quote someone (Whether it be under the reply section, or quick-reply) It never seems to finish loading their quote.. I don't know if this is my computer or what... But it was working fine before and I find that when I sit next to my Wireless Hub, it's no different... Any Ideas? Ah crap now it's doing it with the Core layout... Not to mention that my Session times out in less than 5 seconds... I'm serious.
Yeah that's right... It just freezes and stays there... And my ping with internet server is normal. So is my connection speed... And my connection to my Hub is 24mb/s - 54mb/s
That happens a lot when my connection is unstable too. Maybe you want to retry that in a better connection? Wait... I didn't read this: Now I wonder why...
Mmm Perhaps.. I reverted back to the Curve Forum Layout.. And I deleted the Google Chrome Frame, which I have no idea how it got onto my computer and installed into IE7, because I told it not to.... It is still giving the same problems though.. I'll try it a bit later on and see if everything is different...
I would quote you but it fails... Let me load them up and give them a shot. Works fine in Firefox for some odd reason.. So Maybe I've done something to Internet Explorer. Which is odd in itself because I haven't changed a thing to IE7.
I have Javascripts all set to enabled... I think I may have snebber-fied my computer.. All the settings are set to default, so everything works fine.
Yup.. I think I may restart my computer, I changed some settings and I need to reboot. I'll let you know how it goes shortly... Excellent.. The problem has been solved.. Google Chrome Frame in IE7 appears to be the problem.. It creates a few bugs it seems..
There are plenty of problems with the theme, especially in Chrome. Most of them will be fixed in the final SMF 2 version, it's currently a RC still.
Ah right that's okay then. I don't really use chrome, but I had to install it for Google Wave I think... With 224mb of Ram though, there's not much point in trying to get a new browser to try and speed it up.. Like LoonyLion told me.. Well.. Thanks for the help guys.
