Hikari no Yon Senshi: Fainaru Fantajī Gaiden.
English translation of the name is Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light
This new final fantasy will be coming to the US and Europe later this year.( Don't know about japan doesn't say.)
The US one has a shipping date of 5Th of October 2010 and the Eu version says coming autumn.

Hopefully this game is really good.

 

If the release US/Euro dates are correct then it should already out in Japan.

 

Although the game is a gaiden (spin off), the fact that they seem to be re-exploring (or rehashing) the time honoured "search for the four elemental Crystals of Yore" plot kinda piqued my attention

 

Some site talking about it mentioned it played more like a Dragon Quest then a Final Fantasy game, and that seemed to catch my interest more. Though I already liked the game enough anyways since I'm a sucker for cliche and old school things.

 

It has been released in Japanese
But I can't find a rom on Romulation.

it's been out for a while and it's fun,kind of import friendly since I finished quite a bit of the game without knowledge of Japanese.
Also,it has ap but the ap fix is posted in the comments

I remember there was a final fantasy chronicles game for the wii, where you deploy units on a floor, hoping to defeat the invading enemy... Was it this game?
