New but sooooo technodumb!Any advice gratefully received !

At my age I should have a life,but as single mum of a kidlet under 10 I am drawn into the world of DS,I have one she has one and we regularly fight over whose game is whose!I'm here to try save some time and money by getting her new games,might even try them myself,lmao.All i know is that Ive bought a minicard,a stick thing and another card thing I have to put it in before it will fit into the DS,so am off on an adventure through the forum to find advice,tutorials and some sympathy!....Not often online due to health and time limitations so please if you answer any inane question I ask excuse a tardy reply or thank-you!
Oh and btw,I'm Ness,as the name maybe tells!Nice to be here,hope life is kind to all of you!Greets from the flatlands of Netherlands!( Not as ace or hip or cool as media portrays them trust me!)

Seeing as you know nothing about flash cartridges (the card that slots into the DS) and you haven't mentioned the brand name you might 1st want to look at this video by worrior4ever.

The video will at least show you what to do so that you can play games.
Usually the flash cartridge/card come with a CD but if you search on google you should be able to download it off the net (probably from a site called GBAtemp)
