Ok So I posted this here because I never used pay pal and i'm assuming you guys have. oh and I didn't want to revive a old thread for two reasons one I didn't want to "hijack someones thread" and of course i didn't want to revive a old topic and make anyone mad, but if i broke any rules posting this here I appologize ahead of time. OK HERES MY QUESTION. I tried ordering from both dealextreame and focalprice and they both said I needed paypal accounts in order to check out and have my order shipped, but I believe trithrr or was it loony? anyway they said I didn't need a paypal account to oder from thoes sites? but it seems that I do need a pay pal account since one of the people from focalprice told me I needed one. How does pay pal work? like is it free? and can I use my Amercian Express gift card to pay them if it's not free right? anyway while trying to purchase at a dealextreame like site I kept trying to figure out how to check out without needing a pay pal account and failed and decided to make a pay pal account, but only to end up getting this message I f***ed up didn't? I know i screwed up something. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this and finally order my Acekard? ohh and how did some of you order at dealextreame without paypal? because I keep running into the Paypal check out button. Read the faq on paypal site. I think its better to pay with a paypal account then to use ur credit card. Paypal is much safer.
Thing is I planed on paying with a gift card but everytime I tried both dealextreame and focal priced asked for my paypal accounts and when I made a paypal account it''s asking for my banking account and I don't have one, and I just wanted to make a simple purchase with my giftcard on either focalprice or dealextreame but there checkout button is via paypal, but I heard some people on the forum saying that they didn't need a paypal account to check out, but when I try to check out it keeps asking me for paypal.
Try again, even if not on those sites you should be able to get an acekard 2i somewhere without paypal, I did... some time ago...
yeah, but the other places are charging double if not triple the cost that can be found on either dealextreame or focalprice, and I believe trithrr and some member on here ordered through dealextreame without using paypal, unless they made a new rule that required the use of paypal. Anyway i'm gonna see if I missed anything, maybe theres a tiny thing I missed, but thanks anyway.
I'm pretty sure DX and FP work ONLY with PayPal. PayPal is a lot safer, anyway. And it's free. Why wouldn't you wanna use it? It doesn't make sense. I don't know if you can use your gift card with it, though.. :\
It's free, but I don't think that gift card would work with it. It seems deal extreme doesn't accept just the card by it's self... I'd cash it in, get a bank account and go-I was 7 when I had mine (though parents managed it until I was 15).
when you get to the page where it asks you to log in (or sign up) to paypal, there should be an option to pay by card (using paypal as the card processor) without having a paypal account.
I kept looking and I couldn't find it and there forum and mods on there say you need paypal and thats the only way to check out, but I made a paypal account and found a way around for paypal to accept giftcards (thoe it was a pain in the arse) but all is fine now.
