Just asking out of curiosity, in some net cafe's or the self serve kiosk-do they have set ip's or randomly change? I'm asking because I use them to get faster downloads (my laptop's wireless broadband is total FAIL in speed during the day) and just incase I get...I dunno, tracked... And if I could add that in-if it safe to download roms-from here-on those machines? I multi-tab to hide what I'm doing but just need to know if it's a good idea or not-for the good of romUlation and myself. Thanks.
generally they'd use DHCP within the cafe I would imagine, but it depends on their setup. They probably have a static IP for their internet connection.
You can usually download safely from internet connections. IP addresses is not the only information used when deciding if accounts are by the same person.
Hrm, well I'm not worried about people stealing my account (well I am but it's not what I'm after...). I'm more or less worried if someone who didn't like me downloading rom's dobbed me in (you can do that here in aus apparently-I tried to do that to a friend before I joined here-and yet look where I am XD)... Oh well-if that's confusing-the info I got might be enough-thanks
