need help with resident evil 2

i downloaded resident evil 2 dual shock. everything is working fine except during the scenes where the characters are talking no text shows. any help would be much appreciated.

i'm using ePSXe 1.6, Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.8, Pete's DSound Audio Driver 1.15, P.E.op.S. CDR driver 1.4

 

Try changing some of the settings in the configuration of the video plugin or try changing it to something else. There are several online walkthroughs which have settings that work with most games.

 

switched over to PSXeven with same plugins and i can hear the sound during the scenses where the characters are talking

 

Try using epsxe.

 

Just switch to the N64 version? It's waaay smaller and might do a better job of emulating.
