Need help with R4i Platinum

    Hi,I just got two R4i Platinums from a friend (the blue ones) and I was wondering if they would work with the new pokemon games? I've searching for over 2 hours and I need to know a couple things as well:
    Is the R4i Platinum considered a clone?
    What firmware what I download to be able to use the latest game (eg pokemon black)?

    Yes its a Clone

    Either YSMenu or WoodR4 for clones, But they are diffrent types to try, See the two topics on flashcart help for ysmenu and woodr4 for the list of working working cards

    I checked but it doesnt list it by name... There is R4i SDHC, R4i Gold Upgrade Revolution but I dont see the one for Platinum. I downloaded the firmware and apparently it uses WoodR4 and I got that. But Will woodr4 work with the latest patched games?

    Should work with clean roms, No need to use patched roms with new firmwares like yamenu and woodr4
