I am running PCSX 1.9.92 on Mac OS X lion 10.7.5 and i could not run .img files. I have tried downloading games such as resident evil 2 and megaman legends. When i extract it i got .img files but i couldn't run it on pcsx. The only game that i got to run was metal gear solid but it is a .bin file. Can someone help me with this? Or show me the way to properly run it. Or guide me to another emulator that can run on mac that is more reliable. Thanks.
.img are just another format of cd image, if the emulator can't open it you'll have to mount it on a virtual drive and run it as a cd.
Can you help me by pointing out applications to mount them? i tried searching and found only Power PC applications which are not supported by latest OSX. stupid stuff.
