Need help restoring Ipod Touch

    So i screwed my ipod touch, and now it has no software in it. On itunes i click the restore and i download v. 1.15 or something. When I click restore again, it keeps installing then at the end it says some unknown error occured. Can someone help me out? Now i have a useless itouch. Thanks for any help :)

    nvm fixed but i need another thing: where can i get a software upgrade for itouch from version 1.1.5 to 2.1? Thankss

    That's probably that custom firmware.

    i mean where can i get apple's 2.1 firmware? :) i saw on youtube links to v 2.1 .ipsw files, but im not sure if theyre safe.

    They're custom made.That means that they are the modded version of apples latesa sw.They may be safe or not.But usually they dont brick your gadget.But use them carefully as they are unofficial.
