Like the title states, I need help on GIF making. I use Microsoft GIF Animator (it's decent, but the GIFs it makes are HUEG) and I use GIMP to resize (takes a GIF, resizes it (while fucking up its quality), yet somehow makes the file size BIGGER than the original GIF).

Any suggestions on what programs to have/techniques to use/etc. on GIF making?

I believe that you can make animated gifs in Gimp.

Shrink the image down in Gimp and put together the animation in Gimp.

I don't mean simple gif animations, like making stick figures. I meant taking video files, and turning them into GIF. I know GIMP could also do that, but somehow, it doesn't work quite right

What kinds of files are you trying to convert?

And I believe what you're doing still falls into the "simple" category.
