addictive games really depends on your tastes, but here's my suggestions:
if a game like pokemon, i suggest the never-ending harvest moon and phantasy star
if a game like LoZ, and you meant action, i suggest monster hunter, oh wait do you mean DS games?
those games are probably addictive you won't even remember to have dinner and breakfast lol

 

Soma Bringer is also good, It's like Diablo, be sure to get the English Patch or unless you can understand Japanese?

Henry Hatsworth is also good I guess... It has the Nintendo Hard for you hard core players, 100% List for you completionists, Mixed in with a Puzzle Minigame,A Metroidvania-esque platforming. And some Adventure Game Aspect where you can buy upgrades... and... the Music of Awesome which is also Free to Download from EA.

Seems like you are into Action RPGs.. Try "Chrono Trigger", they did an awesome DS version of the old SNES classic.
Awesome story and 13 endings to get..
