NDSL Startup sound. "DING..."

I know that the NDS startup sound for everyone would be a bell like sound, something like a "DING..." and fades off.
But recently my NDSL acted strange. When ever I start it up it gives me a high pitch chime instead of the normal "ding"
sound. The game sounds are all fine and everything is fine.
I would like to ask if this a problem at all or if anybody has had this problem at all and should I be worried about it.

I noticed mine do that once or twice.

Not sure if it was related, but I also had a problem with my volume control. It worked fine otherwise.

 

Was it your birthday that day?

 

;D that happened to me, also - i was about to throw it and buy a new one, then i realised it was my birthday. i tested it again the next day (by resetting the date) and the odd jingle came again

it sounds cool, so now i set the date as my birthday just to have a different sounding startup everyday

 

Yes it is my birthday. Okay guys, thanks for the help. I thought it was stuffed up, cause prior to that I was
spinning the NDSL on my table and thought maybe I done something bad to it but it's all ok now.

It's just a special feature; the sound changes when it's your birthday.

 

I got mine on my birthday, and the first time I used it, sound was off. I assumed that it was dying the next day.

 

Did you really know that, or are you just copying what others are saying?

 

I experienced it on my birthday (January 19, I got my DS several weeks earlier); I knew something was going to happen because you can set your birthday on the DS. I'm not a copycat. :'(

I didn't know that. Thought it was just some glitch.

 

My birthday is on January 19 as well.

 

Mine did that to me atleast for a week. But it stopped. Not a big deal. just a sound right? Although it was annoying
