NDS Rune Factory 2 Not saving

Hi, this is my first post here, I hope it's in the right area.
I'm having trouble with the nds rom Rune Factory 2. I am not able to save at all, the music continues as normal so I don't think its frozen, it just won't make a save file. Does anyone else have this problem?

 

*scratches* i had a problem figuring out where to save myself for the first little bit. you are using the diary next to the bed right? if so, post if your using an emulator or DS, and which one.

 

Hi, yes i'm using the diary next to the bed. I'm using the DS itself, with M3DS Real. I approach the diary, click save, and then it says "Saving, do not remove or turn off game" or something to that effect. The problem is, it never says that the save is complete. I thought it froze but the music kept playing, you see.

 

Then it froze.
