Hi folks. Total newb to NDS roms here. I bought a DS Lite today and have ordered myself a CycloDs Evolution.

Now I am looking for ROMS to download, here and on torrent sites etc but I need to know a couple of things... namely the regions... do they strictly matter?

I am in Australia and my DS Lite, while 2nd hand, I imagine was purchased retail here in AU.

So does it matter which region ROMS I download? There doesn't appear to be an Australian option?

Any advice would be very much appreciated thanks folks :)

The NDS is not region locked which means you can download whatever ROM you like, put it in your flash cart(CycloDs Evo) and enjoy ^.^ but i have heard rumours that NDS"i" games will be region locked but that wont be affecting you.

J region games are in japanese (with some exceptions), U region are usually english or a choice between english and french or spanish or both, E region are usually english and up to 4 other european languages.

Im aussie too...nothin to worry about

Download mainly (U) roms, coz sometimes (E) roms dont have English

one of those games happens to be: My Vet Center In Australia

...(E) are what australia uses...like for example, legend of zelda link to the past GBA, if you chose the (E) of that you get the language select...

The (U) which is america, doesn't-my guess is that the (E) europe rom came out latter...

My guess is that game you mentioned-My Vet Center In australia-is a mistake...

Or your using a dsi-those things do that :(

It doesn't matter though, the ds, and to some extent, the dsi, are region free, it's when the dsi only games come out is when they are region locked...

And yes I am aussie as well-I done the research :)

If it has (E) then it's meant to be an europe game..

If it's other than english...what does it have?

(by mistake-a mistake on labeling-Seph may need to be told to get it corrected)
