I apologize if this topic has already been discussed, I failed to find any similar topic. If there is please to redirect me. I got the R4ultra for NDS, and the more time goes by, the more the roms I download here got some anti-piracy (AP) on them that the R4 ALWAYS have problem with. So I want to get a new cart and give my old one to my nephew. I was thinking cyclo DS since it seems like it's the one that works the best with almost every AP rom. I want a flashcart that will let me crack my games easily, that the firmware is still being updated, and GBA compatibility is a big big plus. Should I go cyclo or does anyone has a better suggestion ? Thank you very much everyone.
try getting the EDGE. its cheaper then the Cyclods and it has almost the same compatibility rate. (BTW people who are posting please do not say "OMG THE EDGE SUCKS ITS A CLONEEEEE OF CYCLODS!!!" because that happened to another forum i was in(it actually happened). just because a card is a clone or close to it it doesn't mean that it sucks or that it will brick your DS and make it melt because there is a HUGE difference between a clone and a knock-off!) oh well choose with budget on your mind and also choose with quality on your mind too. remember that there are a lot of flash carts that are good and some even meet the requirements of perfect. it is really hard to choose because there might be a few bumps on the road for the developer team( points all 10 fingers at the R4DS development team.) so look at their history and see if they are stable. there is a low chance that the development team will just quit because they are determined to make their flash carts the best on the market( or is it the black market?). i did recommend EDGE at the beginning but if i had cash to spare i would choose the cyclods over EDGE any day.. P.S when i was talking about the clone/knock off thing i was just reminding users of it but it does not mean it actually happens. romulation has a very nice community (better then GBATEMP trust me) and will help you with your concerns. There are many places to get the Cyclo ds.
