I have both Pokemon Platinum and Soul Silver...but the Emulators that I have either don't let it play or lag incredibly.
No$GBA which everyone says is the best, doesn't even let me play because the "save file cannot be located" or some bullshit like that.
I tried IdeaS (I think that's what it's called), lags incredibly
    DeSume lags incredibly

Is it the Emulator or is it the ROMs?

Can anyone help me out here?

"save file cannot be located" is a common issue on no$gba,
it can be fix by using the 2.6a(if you're using 2.6), or just change the NDS Cartridge to Auto(if you're using 2.6a).
However, the game may still lag at certain point of the game.

As for Desmume, try changing the 3D settings to 'SoftRasterizer', and switch the Frame Skip value from 1 - 3, with the 'Limit framerate' disabled.
I wouldn't recommend using IDeaS though, it's far from being compatible with most game at the moment.

This is a No$GBA: http://www.mediafire.com/?ztymdjdmjn2 with everything configured and a patch for freezing problem of Soul Sliver: http://www.mediafire.com/?twxk2qhzwnz (extract and place the rom in folder, run "eNDryptS Advanced.exe" and press "1", and only use cheat when you've finished loading save game). And about lagging, you can change language of No$GBA to japanese, use "EXTRA" option; it helps with some game.

Thanks, so far its loaded the game but after I put my name in and what not, it freezes on the black transistion screen and continues playing the music. I tried using the eNDryptS Advanced file and it doesn't do much good at all because it keeps saying No Emulator found. Am I doing something wrong?

You must put the Rom in the folder "encrypt". This is what you have if you do everything right: http://i32.tinypic.com/14xmf03.jpg. Just try again.
