Image from wikipedia/Filefront/rodent-tee: I don't own Apollo Justice in any way, shape or form. Capcom own its. I do own the game I bought. Publisher:Capcom Developer:Capcom Release DateBy Country) Japanese Release April 12, 2007 North America February 19, 2008 Europe May 9, 2008 Category:Courtroom simulation Rating: I only know the ESRB: Rated T This game is pretty new, a it's the continuation of Capcom's Ace Attorney series. This is the Attorney game not to be made as a GBA port so that means there is no english translation within it.This game starts of with a new rookie attorney named Apollo Justice, and you play as him trying to prove your clients are innocent. You will meet many interesting people such as your magician assistant. For people familiar with the game there will not be much that is new(exceptions mentioned below), and fear not as there will be some returning characters such as Phoenix... Like all the other games you start off with the first case which will teach you the basics of the game such as what to do when cross-examining a witness, or presenting evidence. This game is a very nice place to start even if you haven't played the other ones. Unfortunately, these games don't follow any judicial system in the U.S. and real attorneys would be horrified. The game also requires that you do some detective work so you won't only be in the courtroom. Presentation - 9/10 The story itself is very good, it provides you with four cases and in each you meet a whole cast of personalities. Nothing is what it seems and in order to get to the truth you will have to force it out of witnesses. Some will make you angry while others make you laugh. You will also be very happy to know that there will be returning characters. Graphics - 7/10 On visual aspects, there isn't much change except for the improvement of the new scenario system. The main "talking scenes" images are still 2-D and people are like the other games. On the other hand is the addition of a crime scene 3-D view which will help you recreate the crime scene. The video is nice, kind of cartoonish while it still tries to retain a 3-D look. Gameplay - 8/10 Basically in a case you will be start out investigating with the exception of the firrst case. During your investigations you will be given chances to talk to witnesses and to examine for important evidence. You will also be able to do things such as fingerprint analysis and other mini-games based on the touch screen in order to get evidence. Then we get to court where you will always be either cross-examining a witness. While doing the cross-analysis you will be able to press for more information or present evidence to show contradictions. As is, the point of the cross-examination to always get the truth. Also before I forget, is the addition of the perceive system. Shortly into the second case you will get the ability to see when your witnesses are lying and you can point them out. I won't say anymore because it will ruin the game for you. Sound - 9/10 As for the limitations of the DS, the music in it is quite nice. I really liked it. The music is completely in sync with mood, or what your doing. For example, if a huge clue is revealed than the music will become loud and mysterious, on the other hand the theme for your rival will be played in an electric guitar fashion as he is part of a world famous band. Replayability - 5/10 Look I'm not going to lie, this was the games greatest weakness, as there is really no true replayability. The cases never get redone and you can't try and forget every little thing you know and try the cases again (although I know some of you will try to prove me wrong that it's possible) Overall Rating - 38/50 Summary: This is a great game and it provides a lot of fun. It is very plot heavy and the cases are very surprising. The music only adds to the mood and feelings you get. The characters will grow as the more cases you do. Unfortunately there is no replayability so it lost points there, otherwise this game is very good. I had a lot of fun with this game and I hope you do too. Before I forget...
I agree that there's really no replayability but I think it's a great game to play once through. Is it just me or did this game have some sexual inuendo, form what I remember Trucy's panties got stolen and you gotta find them. When you find them she says that you have a great nose for finding girls panties ???. Maybe it's just me :-\.
.........This game is the forth part of the series "Ace Attorney" right ? I saw Phoenix so ugly... not as handsome as he was ! :'(........
Ah, I'll play this game soon, I loved the Phoenix Wright games, this one's a must for me. And I disagree with you. In my opinion, replay ability should be lower than it is. There's nothing to explore, everything is revealed the first time you complete the game. The cases get pointless when you have already finished the game, because you already know the solutions (unless you have an even worse memory than mine). But when I come to think of it, there's really not much to add. Bonus cases could be added, but the game gets boring after the 5th case, or so. Not really much to do about this point. Other than that, cool review.
