NBA Hangtime no good with Project64?

Ok I've got project64 running all defaults right now. When I get hangtime running everything is fine (create a character, pick a team, etc) until the tip off. Once the game starts i drop from 50FPS to maybe a high teens count. I've tried different settings as well with no fix. I'm fairly sure its the roms themselves because gretzkys 3d hockey runs fine, aside from a slight graphic glitch, so I was wondering if anyone has the same problem with hangtime and how/if they got around it. My specs are: 3gig of ram, amd phenom 9500 quad core 2.2 ghz, geforce 8500gt with the latest drivers, and vista 32 bit. Any help is appreciated!

 

It's not the ROMs, it's the emulator. Try another emulator like 1964 and see if you have any luck.

 

1964 had the exact same problem if not worse

 

Best thing you can do is try different plugins and settings.

It's possible that the game just isn't compatible with the emulators yet, so it won't work.
