As of now. I am extremely confused. :-[ I first bought my r4 card in 2006 so it is the original r4 card for NDSL/NDS. Up until recently, I wanted to play pokemon black/white but discovered that my card is incompatible with many of the new ROMS. The kernel on the card now is v1.18. The original kernel from the r4 site... Is it possible to make my card compatible with the new games or do I have to completely purchase a new flashcart? :'( One more question: i have read about the wood r4, but still in a haze. what exactly is that?
I'm not an R4 expert, but I know what Wood R4 is. It is a custom firmware for the R4 (and clones) to support the latest games the last original R4 firmware could not. This is the thread: http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?topic=39701.0
